Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Transportation Engineer III in our Peoria, IL office. This position will primarily consist of design engineering efforts on a variety of transportation projects and field presence for State, County, and Local Agencies. This team-orientated position will include working with Baxter & Woodman's diverse disciplines and offices within the transportation and construction fields.
Your impact will include managing/completing engineering plans and specifications production using IDOT Standards, completing Federal Aid projects for a variety of clients, leading a variety of projects and study types including roadway, underground utility, drainage, traffic, and infrastructure improvements, completing general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients, coordinating construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors and public agencies, and conducting on-site observation of work, repairs, and tests as needed.
Education/certification requirements include a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a licensed professional engineer in Illinois (or ability to acquire within 6 mos.). Must-haves include 5+ years of relevant experience with municipal or highway agency transportation projects, knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil 3D, ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation), ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities, strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills, and work within a team-first culture that encourages individual development and accomplishment of goals.
The pay range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
