In this role, you will support the delivery of roadway design and stormwater infrastructure projects for a variety of public-sector and Tribal clients throughout Washington. The position offers a blend of technical project delivery, client engagement, project management, staff mentorship and team development.This position may be based in our Puyallup, Silverdale, or Seattle offices and follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office time dedicated to team collaboration, client engagement, and project integration. Your Role on the Team:Lead and/or support the planning, design and delivery of complex transportation projects, with an emphasis on local roadway and highway design, grading, intersection, interchange, corridor, pedestrian and bicycle improvements. Experience designing stormwater management and drainage systems for transportation projects—including storm sewer networks, culverts, detention or retention facilities, water-quality controls, and erosion and sediment control measures—is a plus but not required.Prepare and/or oversee the development of complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, technical reports and design documentation. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to address design challenges and incorporate feedback.Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) review of engineering deliverables. Support project managers with project scope, schedule, budget, proposals, and client communications.Mentor and support the technical and professional development of engineering staff.What You Bring to the Team:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.7+ years of related transportation engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Ability to independently manage technical assignments and coordinate work across disciplines.Experience working on projects for one of the following client types:Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)Tribal governmentsLocal Agencies, including cities and countiesExperience supervising, mentoring and leading engineering staff.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads.Experience with stormwater modeling software preferred but not required.Familiarity with applicable local and state transportation design manuals and standards.
