Job Details Job Location: The Beach Club Athletics - Minneapolis, MN 55416 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $16.37 - $50.00 Hourly Location: The Beach Club Athletics - Minneapolis, MN Pay Transparency: $16.37 per administrative hour, $40.00 - $50.00 (DOE) per group fitness class hour; Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay depends on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, work experience, and other business needs. Role and Responsibilities The Yoga Instructor is responsible for helping guide students in yoga through a variety of postures, or asanas, and breathing exercises referred to as pranayama. Instructors provide hands-on direction to make sure students are performing movements properly and applying the breathing techniques. Yoga Instructor may work in a class or in a one-on-one setting. Group Fitness Instructors are expected to teach safe and effective classes for our members and are required to purpose and maintain educational standards commensurate with Active Wellness quality. Specific Responsibilities Essential Functions Deliver safe group fitness classes to the members. Assist members in using safe and effective exercise form during their Workouts Support, teach, and encourage members to meet their fitness goals Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance Work as a TEAM with all other departments Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Other Functions Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness Promote club services and activities Perform routine maintenance of group fitness equipment Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting Qualifications Physical and Working Conditions Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others Ability to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs Fitness club environment Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards Benefits Health, Dental and Vision Insurance (Full Time) Health Flexible Spending Account (Full Time) Paid Time Off (Full Time) Parking & Transit Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) (Eligible after 1 year of service + 1000 work hours) Legal Support Plan Employee Assistance Program & Mental Health Support Service Complimentary Club Membership and Discounts on Active Products (where applicable) This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
